Is chenek [lit. "strangulation"] or hereg a worse death sentence: Makkot 8b

Is there atonement for an accidental act, which would have warranted hereg had it been committed intentionally: Makkot 8b

The natural equivalent is death at the hands of the government or bandits: Ketuvot 30b; Sotah 8b

How do we know that "hereg" is carried out with a sword, by cutting the throat from the front?: Ketuvot 37b
